this guy on facebook has over 3,000 friends and plays for or trains in a Nike team in Florida or something!
I added him as a friend and we had this conversation

Maquina92:What national team will you play for?

Nigerian born player:I will play for the USA

Maquina92:what why did you switch team you should play for Nigeria!!!
but good luck to you man for real im not a usa fan but why are you switching teams??

Nigerian born:idk nigeria’s situation with FIFA and all of that stuff is really out of wack right now. I have time to decide, idk I might end up playing for them. I think it would be cool if I
could play for Nigeria. I’ll see how it pans out. the problem with the USA nat’l team is that it’s all politics, if you know people you get to start in the lineup.

Nigerian born:In belgium. both of my parents are from Nigeria

i was born in the usa but when it comes to soccer Mexico is my team!!!

Nigerian Born:thanks man!! I think I’m going to end up in Nigeria. they will respect me more there. and I’ll become a superstar there. whereas if I go to USA they will squander my talent on the bench

My point and question is do a lot of people play for the usa because they can’t play for there other national teams?/
